Sarah's security career began with her Bachelor's thesis, where she secured embedded systems for bacteria detection. She then worked as a Software Developer and Architect, focusing on carsharing security, while completing her Master's in Applied IT-Security at Ruhr-University Bochum.
Her work consistently involved securing OT, which remains a key focus in her current role. Sarah now leads OT assessments for ARES, the NVISO Red Team.
Sarah has gained experience in offensive cybersecurity through a variety of assessments and simulations. Her expertise includes conducting physical security assessments, covert intrusions, network compromises, and OT penetration tests. She is skilled in identifying vulnerabilities within IT and OT environments. Her work emphasizes uncovering weaknesses and enhancing the security of industrial control systems against cyber threats.
